This weeks game vs Eagles consisted of rewards, challenges and lots of contesting, we knew it would be tough but wanted to rise to the challenge…. It was the start of a war.

Both teams in the first quarter were head to head. We scored our centre passes and managed to remain relentless against a effortless side filled with strong players. Clare the quickest WA ever seen, Josie the English Rose and princess Mel were all cutting and driving down the court leading to lovely shooting from Megan the weapon. Not to mention no team would have known how to cope against the defensive efforts of Kimmy, Izzie and Jordan.

The second quarter ended with Eagles 9 ahead however this would not stop our fight and determination. We had elbows coming in from each direction but held our own. Not to mention lots of pressure put on them through court from Kimmy with her absolute wicked skills and long limbs, Jordan the prettiest GK but not one to be messed with and Izzie the fridge with her tracking and calm headedness. But unfortunately errors started to creep in from us.

However, we found our game again in the 3rd quarter, with a really close quarter score. Some crucial players, Sam H and Rov came off the bench in the second half and did an amazing job to shut the Eagles team down!

The last quarter came with challenges but we played to the very end like the warriors we are (I wouldn’t want to go to battle against us). As a team we should be proud because no one can question our work ethic, ability or drive to win and we had patches of brilliance that will only flourish as the weeks go on. WE BLEED PURPLE !!!

Thank you to the Supporters who were all incredible, it doesn’t go unnoticed you all being there - sending hugs to every single one of you and thank you to the bench Stacey, Chloe, Nicole, Kelly and Amy (Can’t wait until she’s back from injury!!) we all love you.
